Live Foods and Enzymes

raw foodWe all know we should be eating more raw foods. Raw foods retains the enzymes that are needed to digest food properly.

When we cook foods, these enzymes are destroyed which in the end makes our bodies work harder because the body has to tap emergency enzyme supplies in the pancreas to digest the cooked food which makes one feel tired and less energetic after eating.

Enzymes act as catalysts in hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions that take place throughout your body. They are essential for digesting, absorbing and converting food into energy at cellular level and are critical for most of the metabolic activities taking place in your body every second of every day.

The importance of enzymes simply cannot be ignored. They contain antibiotic properties which help fight free radicals in your body. This reduces the work load of the liver and pancreas.

This becomes even more important as we age because the ability of the body to produce natural enzyme molecules diminishes, so the preservation o9f these live enzymes in uncooked food plays an important role in keeping you healthy.

  • Slow the signs of aging.

You need to understand that food that is not “alive” is actually dead. Anything that has been cooked, canned, processed, packages or refined in any way by man fits into the “dead” category, offering very little in the way of nutrients and live enzymes.

These type of foods are easily identifiable. They come packaged in pretty enticing boxed and packets with fancy graphics with an ingredient list of multiple unpronounceable names of chemicals, additives, trans-fats, man-made sugars and empty carbohydrates.

In other words, they are calories rich but nutrient poor.

The principle behind eating raw food is that we need to eat foods which give us energy not foods that deplete our energy.

Without a doubt, when you switch your diet over to include lots of fresh raw foods, you feel energized because these foods contain much more energy than when they are cooked.

Other benefits that people experience besides lots of quality energy include needing less sleep, much better mental clarity and focus, weight comes off easier, getting sick less…or not at all, getting rid of various health ailments with less aches and pains. And, if all of that is not enough, you’ll also experience shinier hair, stronger nails, and a happier disposition.

If your diet consists of the standard Western diet of cooked and processed foods you need to make some serious lifestyle changes by switching your primary diet to raw foods that will improve your health, not work at destroying it.

Bottom line is this: you will feel better, less tired and most if not all of your health ailments will disappear. So, what’s not to like?
